I should have suspected something was not quite right when I was told after booking-in with Alamo at Miami Airport to just go outside & choose a car from the 4×4 row. There were no cars available! We were not the only ones having problems so any time a car became available it was a free for all to see who got to the car first. The manager was most unhelpful while the staff tried their best but were put in a position of having to deal with unhappy customers. I have never seen such a shambles at a car hire place. The cars that became available were dirty and smelling as the staff had no time to clean them properly. We ended up with a car that had a very bad dent on one side that had started to go rusty and a huge deep scratch on the other. After waiting over an hour and a half in the blazing Miami sun we were just grateful to get a car! I would never ever use Alamo at Miami Airport again and would be very wary of using Alamofull stop. If you’re going to Miami don’t just look at the price, check out the service you get from the company as I would have paid £100 more if I could have got into a clean, fresh car straight away!
