On collection of the Alamo car at Vancouver Airport, it wasnt made totally clear that I had no choice but to pay for a tank of petrol to start with and return the car empty. It was just a case of sign here everything, is ok , off you go!! But on returning the car it was made perfectly clear this time by someone fluent in English that as I had filled the car up on return it was my loss and I should have read the smallprint!! Yes, I was caught out as this does not seem to be standard pratice with other car suppliers. Will not use Alamo again.
