THE CAR RESERVED AND PAID FOR WAS A 4×4 SUV -’GRAND JEEP CHEROKEE’ – "OR SIMILAR". AT THE DOLLAR BOOKING DESK, THE CLERK TRIED TO GET ME TO GO FOR AN UPGRADE – I DID NOT THINK THIS NECESSARY AS THE ABOVE VEHICLE HAS ALWAYS BEEN LARGE ENOUGH FOR MY FAMILY (WHEN WE’VE BEEN PREVIOUSLY). THE CLERK SEEMED TO TAKE UMBRAGE THAT I WOULDN’T UPGRADE, SCRIBBLED SOMETHING ON MY RECEIPT AND SENT ME DOWN TO COLLECT THE CAR. THE ATTENDANT TOOK MY RECEIPT AND GAVE ME A JEEP – A SMALL BOX ON WHEELS. THIS VEHICLE WAS MUCH SMALLER THAN EXPECTED, HAD NO CRUISE CONTROL (ESSENTIAL FOR THE US) AND HAD NOT EVEN BEEN CLEANED – EITHER INSIDE OR OUT. THIS WAS NOT WHAT I HAD EXPECTED.
