I waited for over 1 and a half hours for my reserved car to arrive to be told it still wasn’t ready, during this my time (and after having been travelling for approx. 15hrs) my 4yr old and 11yr old were extremely bored and tired to the point of my youngest being practically unbearable towards anyone and anything! When offered a different car (a saloon as opposed to an estate) I grabbed it with the thoughts off ‘at least I’m getting the hell outta here’. I pointed out to the car parking guy the chip in the front windshield and was told he knew about it, it was down to the last person who had the car, but due to the need to give me a car there wasn’t anytime to repair it or offer me another vehicle. It wasn’t until the next day I noticed the condition of the vehicle cleanliness. I found candy wrappers in the door pockets, chocolate wedged between the two front seats and the centre console, stains all over the back seat, a couple of rotted apples under the drivers seat and the last users unpaid parking tickets in the glove box. On returning the vehicle I was quized over the chip in the front windshield and made to make a statement to explain what happened 2 weeks prior and almost billed for the gas it would take to fill the tank back up again ($57.55) when my contract with Thrifty was that I could return the vehicle empty. Overall, the car was a good car (Chrysler Sebring) although it wasn’t the one I reserved but the Hire Car company (Thrifty) was a DIABOLICAL JOKE!
