There always seem to be "extras" to pay when you rent a car. I took out the roadside insurance as it seems that if the car suffered a puncture or broken windscreen etc it would be my rsponsibility for the repair. I think that that is unacceptable and should be part of the rental. Alamo said that it was because of legislation, not their doing, that caused this cost. Most companies like you seem to go with Alamo (I s’pose they offer the best deals)and usually there is a problem at renting (with the voucher) or on return. This time, thankfully, there was not. I was made to buy a tank of fuel when picking up the car as it was part of the agreemant according to Alamo. I thought that I had said no to that option when I booked the car with you. Fortunately it turned out to be the best move as they charged $3.54/gal for the fuel when it was over $3.60 at the pumps at that time. They do not clean their cars as well as I would like and they are not very helpfull in explaining the controls of the vehicle – probably because the staff on the parking lot are not familiar with the vehicles.
