I rented a compact from Alamo in Miami. Supplied with a full tank of petrol – to be returned empty (?) – so, Alamo makes a profit from fuel left by previous customer (as you are charged on top of hire fee for a full tank). Windscreen washer was empty – potentially dangerous when driving on dusty roads and need a clear view. Long queue at pickup – very unpleasant as we arrived in the light but dark about 1 hour later once queued and paperwork done. Very unhelpful staff. Drop off VERY difficult to find. Stressful when tight on flight depature schedule.
