(PHX) Phoenix International Airport, Phoenix, Rest of USA – Mr Richard Forth

I had to change the car during the rental because I was given one with a temporary tag – who checks at 8pm after an 11 hour flight – that expired before my rental ended! The exchange was very poorly handled by quite obtuse and unhelpful staff but luckily the car was 3/4 empty and I did not have to pay – or so they said as I will not receive the card bill for 2 weeks yet. I am forced to continually use Dollar because of their price so I suppose I must expect that one gets what one pays for. Surely, though they can employ better staff without increasing the price much! Phoenix is consistently the worst of the 12 depots for Dollar that I have used. At most others the staff are just bored. Tampa though comes from a different mould where they are always very nice and friendly!
