I was promised a free upgrade, however instead I was charged an additional amount for the upgrade. They even tried to charge me for extra fuel even though I had a free tank. I was provided an upgraded car that had all the electronic extras, however the main one, the door looking hardly worked.

Alamo at Fort Lauderdale Airport. The queue was relatively short, less than 10 people, and 4 staff were on duty but we still ended up waiting well over an hour. Once we were being served, the process was fine and quick. Didn’t receive any hard sell on top up insurance or upgrades, but we were well insured anyway and had booked a large car. Returns was very smooth and easy. Overall a good experience but with a poor start.
