We paid for a luxury car, when we arrived to collect we were given the choice of 3 premium cars which were totally unsuitable, despite the car attendendant trying every trick in the book to get us to take one of them, we ended up with a midsize car as nothing else was available. Upon returning the car and letting them know about some faults, we were told that the car had actually been involved in a crash – surely this should have been advised to us upon collection not de-hiring!!! and should not have been hired out. We will never use Dollar again.

This is the second time I have used Usrentacar once in Florida and once in Nevada. Both times I have had no trouble . Have never been asked to put extra insurance other than have I holiday insurance. Strongly recommend this supplier from the UK . Very good value. Just come back from Las Vegas 12th July booked a full size car on the top insurance full tank etc all drivers.

I was set up with a car from Alamo, on the boucher it told me the price I paid included insurance, first tank of gas etc but Alamo chrged me straight away for the first tank of gas and then argued with me in an agressive way. I feel I have been double charged and recieved some aggressive customer care.

Because Dollar are the cheapest, the long queues, after a 10 hour flight, are inevitable but the service is very good.

this company will take any form of payment in the uk ie debit card but when you try to collect car in the USA they will not accept that card as a deposit.I was unable to get car ,no refund and one messed up hoiliday NOT MUCH HELP ON THE PHONE EITHER. Liam

We picked up our car from Las Vegas airport a fortnight ago (22/7/08) from Dollar. There was a half hour queue to get to the desk, whereas all the other suppliers seemed to have little or no queues. After we got the paperwork sorted there were no Premier cars in the garage, actually there were no cars full stop, but as more Intermediate etc were being returned, they got their cars first. Anyway, 20 mins in 100F temperatures later, somebody returned a Premier class and we got it. The interior was dirty and I got chewing gum stuck to my shoe, but we were just glad to get in the aircon. Dollar are very good value, but next year if Alamo etc are only a few pounds dearer I’ll be using them. US rentacar were excellent, as usual. Peter Bootle
